Partner Code 128979 for AvaTrade: What It Really Does
People message me about partner codes all the time. Usually the same question: do you get discounted fees or free trading?
No. AvaTrade doesn't charge commission on forex. You pay the spread. That's your trading cost. A partner code has no impact on spreads.
Partner code 128979 gets you access to the deposit bonus. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. That's all it does.
Bonus amounts?
Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.
$2,000 gets you $400.
Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Most people won't hit that.
UK accounts start at £160 for £800 deposited. Goes to £11,200 at the top.
You can open an account with $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
Finding the partner code field
Registration page. After you enter your phone number, you'll see small text reading "Have a Partner Code?". Click on that text. A field drops down. Type **128979**.
Most people miss it because it doesn't look like a proper form field until you click.
Sometimes it shows as invalid, don't worry. Complete your registration. Message your account manager before you deposit. Ask them to add code 128979. They do this manually all the time.
You can't withdraw the bonus straight away
There's a volume requirement.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 unlocks. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
Your own money stays yours. Access it whenever you need. The bonus stays locked until you hit the volume.
Worth mentioning: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. This lets you take bigger positions. That breathing room helps while you're learning.
